Day 1: Haridwar to Barkot
The Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar begins with a scenic drive to Barkot, passing through Mussoorie and lush Himalayan landscapes. En route, pilgrims may visit the famous Kempty Falls. Barkot, located near the Yamuna River, serves as the base for Yamunotri Dham. After arrival, check in to the hotel and rest overnight
Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri and back to Barkot
Early morning, pilgrims drive to Janki Chatti or Phool Chatti and begin the trek to Yamunotri Temple, the first dham of the Char Dham Yatra. Devotees take a holy dip in Surya Kund and perform darshan at the Yamunotri shrine dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. After completing the rituals, pilgrims trek back and return to Barkot for overnight stay.
Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi
After breakfast, the journey continues toward Uttarkashi, a holy town situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Upon arrival, pilgrims visit the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The rest of the day is spent relaxing and acclimatizing. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Day 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back to Uttarkashi
This day is dedicated to visiting Gangotri Dham, the origin of River Ganga. The drive offers breathtaking views of the Garhwal Himalayas. At Gangotri Temple, pilgrims perform rituals and seek blessings of Goddess Ganga. After darshan, return to Uttarkashi for overnight stay.
Day 5: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi / Sitapur
Pilgrims drive toward Guptkashi or Sitapur, passing through beautiful river valleys and mountain roads. The route follows the Mandakini River and offers stunning Himalayan scenery. Guptkashi serves as the base for Kedarnath Yatra. Check in to the hotel and rest overnight.
Day 6: Guptkashi to Kedarnath
Early morning, pilgrims drive to Sonprayag and then reach Gaurikund, from where the trek to Kedarnath Temple begins. Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is located at a high altitude and surrounded by snow-clad peaks. After evening darshan, pilgrims stay overnight near Kedarnath Temple.
Day 7: Kedarnath to Guptkashi
Pilgrims attend morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple before trekking down to Gaurikund. From there, they drive back to Guptkashi or Sitapur. The day is reserved for rest and recovery after the trek. Overnight stay at Guptkashi.
Day 8: Guptkashi to Badrinath
The journey continues toward Badrinath Dham, passing through Joshimath, an important spiritual center. Upon arrival at Badrinath, pilgrims visit the revered Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Evening aarti and darshan mark the spiritual highlight of the day. Overnight stay in Badrinath.
Day 9: Badrinath to Rudraprayag / Srinagar
After morning darshan, pilgrims visit Mana Village, the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibetan border. The return journey includes scenic drives through Vishnuprayag and Karnaprayag. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag or Srinagar.
Day 10: Rudraprayag / Srinagar to Haridwar
On the final day, pilgrims drive back to Haridwar, completing the Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar 9 Nights 10 Days with divine memories and spiritual fulfillment.
